Ecos: ¿a quién no estás escuchando?
To whom does the narrative about HIV belong? Historically, our stories have been extracted, translated, and catalogued under the clinical and aseptic gaze of the Global North. Ecos: ¿a quién no estás escuchando? is a response to that tradition. Born among the members of Cepa, this first publication collapses the hierarchy between who investigates and who is investigated. Through raw dialogues, analog collages, intimate photographs, and everyday digital archives, we take the word and the image to claim our right to epistemic justice.
In these bilingual pages, the voices of those who live their diagnosis publicly coexist with those who have made anonymity and opacity a creative trench. We do not seek comfort, nor do we try to fit into fixed concepts. What you hold in your hands is a collective montage, a way of inhabiting uncertainty, and a radical claim: the right to tell our story with our own accents. |
